A few words of the fellow participants
‘‘the tournament was a great experience overall. Everything
was very well organised from the schedules to the referees.
As sports captain I was delighted to see the passion and
sportsmanship displayed by all the players. Moreover, as a
player, I thoroughly enjoyed the competitive aspect that was
fostered by the teams and spectators alike.’’ Zenden 11C
captain of the team MY LAND DSPS.
‘‘I genuinely felt really proud to be part of the basketball
tournament. For someone like me with a competitive drive
and relentless passion for the game of basketball, being
provided with a platform to showcase my skills while
competing with others felt very exciting and nice. I’ve been in
this school for almost a span of 12years now and this is the
first time I’ve seen a sports tournament organised so well
and carried out even better. So not only being part of the
tournament but watching history being made into what I
hope become a tradition with the tournament continuing,
made me proud to be able to call myself a student of Dubai
scholars’’ Oudad 11C captain of the Cavaliers.
‘‘It was a great experience having to work as a team. The
matches we played did teach my team and me about hard
work and determination. It allowed us to sharpen our skills
and improve our shots while playing against tough and
competitive teams. Basketball also created a sense of
inclusion among boys as well as the girls.’’ Devin 9C captain
of the RAMPAGE WARRIORS.
‘‘The whole experience of the tournament was worthwhile
and unique. Being captain gave me a better idea of the game.
Our team did not win many matches yet we still played not
for the sake of winning but we played because we enjoy it as
it is not about winning or losing.’’ Dakshesh 9A captain of Big
Shaq
‘‘It was all an amazing experience unlike any other. This is the
first tournament of basketball held within the school I have
seen and played, it was an amazing first time experience. It
was organised really well and playing against higher grades
thought me as well as my fellow team mates a lot about the
game.’’ Mishita 9A player from the Lankan tigers.
The tournament has been proven to be a huge success, it was
a fun first time experience for all. A lot of hard work was put
into the event and it has payed off. The students of Dubai
